Trail Riders of Tuscaloosa

Stoney Lonesome ATV Park

Me and a Buddy of mine went riding at the new ATV park in Bremen, AL on 11/12/09 and had a good time. The park is run by Cullamn County and is a very well kept park. It cost $16.00 to ride and if it is your first time you have to watch a 5 min video.

The trail range from easy to extreme. The easy ones are basicaly dirt and gravel roads and the extreme ones have some real steep hills and extreme mud. We found that one side of the park is clear cut timber land that has trails cut through it, they are ok. The other side is hilly with a lot of trees and creeks and mud. As you go into the park you will go over a bridge and come to a picinic area and a fork in the road. If you go stay straight you will go to the tree and mud area, if you go to the left you will go to the clear cut area. We rode from 9:00a till 3:45p and had a good time. we really liked the mud, trees and creek area better.

Here is a link to their site, if you go have a good time and be careful on the steep rock hills.

Wilborns in Cullman/Hanceville was a great time, had lots of rain prior and mad for some great riding. Super nice people and they have a snack shop, bathrooms and showers!

Areas local to me, we call the "JFK trails" and "Brecon" with is at the old army base in Talladega. It's not an official riding areas but there is always a lot of jeeps, trucks, buggies and ATV's out there every weekend.

The club I am mainly involved with is based out of east Tennessee and do a lot of riding up there from fall thru spring. If you need any more info or help I am glad to help a local group.
